What do i do, Marijuana plant in back yard?

Well i believe that i have a marijuana plant growing in my back yard.

I dont know how, i dont know why, but it's there, what's the most appropriate course of action to get rid of it?

Do i call the police? or do i just trash it myself?

If you smoke, smoke it. Obviously you don't, since you want to see the most likely peaceful herb lover/grower in jail. So just yank it out of the ground. Burn it, cut the roots off, whatever you have to do to make yourself feel better. But please don't call the police. Do you think that person deserves to sit in jail longer than the perv that touched little girls who probably lives next to you? Cause that is exactly what will happen.

EDIT: Oh my god, three feet? Come on, dude. And you live in Cali? My dad had a little growing in the extra bathroom, I was 12.. I remember them being taller than me. GTFO.

The best course of action to protect your innocence would be to call the police station and request an officer come investigate what you believe to be a marijuana plant growing in your backyard. That way, YOU phoned it in and not your neighbor. If you phone it in, they have no reason to suspect it is in fact yours but if a neighbor phones it in, suspicions may rise. It is best to report it yourself asap.

are you sure it is marijuana? where do you live? it is very hard to grow marijuana outside without the proper accommodations. also, you would have noticed someone tending to it, most likely. more info please?

T rash it yourself. In order to avoid anyone finding it in your garbage, I recommend burning it, and to prevent anyone from smelling it burning, I recommend burning it in the privacy of your own home with only your closest friends as witnesses.

It's very sad how such beauty must be destroyed.......First call a gardener to make sure it's weed that's proof it's not yours.Then if it is call the police to have it removed so it won't get into the wrong hands...Sad growing any plant should be legal the purpose of it's use should be questioned...Make sure you ask the gardener if the police will charge you to move it...Blessings Yahoo

You could also take the leaves and make a linament that is useful for arthritis and sore joints.  a tea is healthy and offers the body good minerals and nutrients.  or grind up the plant and use it in cookies and food.  there are a lot of things the plant is good for, medicinally and herbfully.  

It was maligned when Hearst wanted to use vast tracts of timber he owned as a root stock for pulp in making paper.  Cannibis makes far more stock for paper and pulp, and has a lot going for it that would have saved the forests were is not for Hearst's slander and propaganda

If you or any of your neighbors have a bird feeder outside, it is probably a hemp plant. A lot of commercial bird seed contains hemp seeds-the plants look the same, but are not marijuana. Hemp grows very tall and is used for commercial products. Just pull it up and put it in a garbage bag-throw away.

I think if you throw it in the trash, the garbage pick-up service men could possibly end up seeing & or smelling it & reporting you to the police!  I'd say your best bet would be to call the police & tell the dispatcher that it's a non-emergency call, but that you'd like to have an officer stop over as you think there's  marijuana plant growing in your back yard.  Also, I found a link to what a marijuana plant looks like on Yahoo Images (just typed in marijuana plant & there were several to choose from - this one was the clearest that I could see).  The link is listed below.  Good luck!

If you don't want it there, treat it like any other weed you don't want.  Pull it out, and toss it.

did someone grind a joint into the ground? Cut it down. There are many plants that Look, Like Marijuana, some ferns, false arelia, etc. I got a false arealiea in the hospital and we all laughed that a friend sent me "weed"

I would not get involved with the police on one plant. Dont risk having them get suspicious on you.

I would either burn it in a burn pile or simply throw it in a bag and put it in the trash.

If I were in your shoes I would burn it first before placing it in the trash so that if the trash man were to see it they wont call the police on you.

If you rent a house it might have been from previous owners. The neighbors might have had a seed that washed into your yard and the enviroment was just right for it to grow.

If you don't smoke marijuana, and you're sure it's a marijuana plant, then pull it out of the ground and dispose of it.  If you call the cops, you're sure to have some drama, and if you let it keep growing, someone may find it and again there will be drama.

If you smoke pot, then smoke your plant.  If not, just get rid of it.

Check out what a Japanese Maple leaf looks like... I'm betting that's what it is. If it is in fact marijuana, then just tear it out or put it in a pot inside your house if you wanna keep it.

Are you sure it is a marijuana plant? It is a plant that you do not want in your backyard so, grab the bottom of the base and make sure you pull it out-roots and all and then put it out in the trash. I would dig it out if it a very large plant and dispose of it in the trash.

id just trash it. if you dig it up by the roots its pretty obvious that you aren't looking to harvest it or make the profit that would be made from selling it. there isnt' a big need for police unless you really need them to confirm your suspicions that it is in fact marijuana
