Question:

What do i do about a clicking noise after turning the key to my truck?

ok heres the scenario... my truck was working fine.. its an 05 dodge dakota... i got in and turned the key... as i turned the key all the lights inside worked but then there was a countinous clicking sound as it was turned... my buddy jumped me and it took like 3 seconds and it worked like normal... drove home and i just got in and its the same problem... what does this mean?

  1. Sounds like your car battery can no longer hold a charge.  When the battery can't provide enough power to crank your engine, that rapid clicking sound is what you will hear.

    A new battery should solve that problem.

  2. Battery is dead, buy new one, average life 2-3 yrs.
