  1. To kill all the fleas that are on the cat, get a capstar pill from your vet or online.  It is an amazing pill that can be given to most kittens.  The pill will kill about 99% of the fleas on a cat within 4 hours, they will be raining off of the animal.  The pill that I got from my vet cost me $4 and it did an amazing job.  Once you have that taken care of, wash the cat's bedding to get rid of any eggs there, and start the cat on frontline or another flea killing program.

Also, if the cat has fleas, it stands a good chance that the cat will also have tapeworms (fleas can carry them) look for things that look a bit like pieces of rice where the cat sleeps, or around the cat's butt fur after he uses the litter box (they often are still moving slightly on the fur)  If it has tapeworms, you can get the cat treated at your vet, or buy tape worm tabs for the home treatment (doesn't always work, but it worked for my new cat)

And for the record, Capstar is very safe, you can give a pill to the cat daily (though that would get expensive) and it is also ok to double  dose the cat if you aren't sure the pill got swallowed or launched into the fishbowl when you weren't looking.

  2. buy some fleastuff

  3. you can buy droppers for puppies and kittens that can be used from 4 wks old

    or

you could wash it in tea tree shampoo - fleas dont seem to like it

  4. you buy stuff to spray it with at pet shops

  5. You heard right. Flea collars can cause all sorts of problems for animals and rarly help wtih fleas. I don't understnad why they still sell them,..

You could suggest frontline, but the kitn maybe too young.

if it's not with mom still,  you could dunk it in oil of some sort, smother the fleas.

  6. Use Frontline SPRAY (not the spot on at this age). Just don't spray his face and don't let him l**k it off while it is still wet.

  7. Use Advantage flea control for small cats, if your kitten/cat weighs less than 9 lbs. If its over 9 lbs use Advantage for large cats. Your best bet is to get it from the Vet.

You put the drops on the back of the neck and make sure the cat does not l**k itself until it dries.. The vet should tell you how to put it on, im not sure if it differs from cats & kittens since ive never put it on a kitten.

  8. There is a special conditioner you can use for pets. It helps get rid of the fleas a lot quicker and they are very useful.

You can buy them at traditional pet stores.

  9. well what can i say, there are many ways to get rid off fleas, all you need is patience and love for your kitty:

one way which is the cheaper way but most extreme and do it only if the cat is literally filled with fleas!!!

use rubbing alcohol ( be very careful not to spray his eyes, you don't want any side effects on the poor thing) and rub it onto the kitty, enough to wet his or her fur, then use a small comb, and brush the cat gently, after that shower your cat with cat soap( for fleas and ticks) and i now it sounds crazy but you need to use cold water, if the kitty is too small, about 2-31/2 months use warm water, but not hot otherwise the alcohol will not make any effect. and blow dry your cat after 2 rinses you give her it is amazing the amount of fleas you can remove out of the cat.

the other way is to use cold water, again if the cat is less then 2-31/2 you use warm water, and you wash your cat with soap that contains fenotrin,(it is more easy to buy it for dogs then cats) as well as spray your cats, favorite spots with creolina, they use it on animal farms, to prevent ticks and fleas. any option is good if the cat is infested, if its normal fleas you can also get a special type of gel that reacts to the feline or dog corporal temperature and kills ticks, and fleas, and it is not expensive but most cats hate it, since it's kinda oily. and the last but most simple option, is to get an active flea collar that is not harmful for kittens.

  10. try flea shampo just hold him still 4 5 min n the fleas will be dead but i make sure to see what kind you got b4 u use it cause the stuff we used 1st made ME sick n ima perty big guy n i wasnt coverd in it!
