  1. Make sure you wake up at the same time everyday. The later you wake up, the harder it will be for you to sleep at night. Could be lack of exercise. Go running around your block, get tired and see if you can sleep after that. Take a warm shower before you sleep. Stay away from caffeine. If none of those things work, then go see your doctor.

  2. I run cross country too, and I dont like running later at night, because it makes me more awake, and I cant sleep so well afterwards, so maybe not running after a certain time, lets say 7 (unless you have meets!) then you might sleep better. But its funny because I have the same problem, but I fall asleep to the tv, and that usually helps!

Also, drinking caffinated drinks after 4:00pm will still keep me up! so id try that too!

  3. the best way to fall asleep is trying hard to stay awake lol it works ^^ orrr u can always turn on the history channel...

  4. PLEASE do not use pills, especially at your age. I have that problem but it seems to run in my family. I'm just lucky that I have a job where I can take a nap on most days! My 90 year old mom takes an occasional sleep aid, my daughter can't sleep without a Tylenol PM cuz she got herself addicted to needing them (she's 33). I just suffer until I get my nap (I'm 54 and a nanny so I sleep when the toddler sleeps!) Talk to your doctor if it continues. Good Luck- it's definitely no fun not being able to sleep!

  5. ok it's easiest for me to get into a routine. try waking up at 8 or 9 even when you don't have to and don't nap. make sure that you don't practice or do any excercise at night before you go to bed, so you don't wake your body up again as it's winding down. Make where you sleep is sleep friendly- get dark curtains, don't play loud music around your bedtime, have your bed cleaned off so you can get to it, for me i organize my room to make it peaceful so it's easier  to get  to sleep. i also find it useful to take about a half an hour to wind down before i sleep- i sort out what happend to me that day, write things down in my journal that sort of things. but i have to say getting a routine going where i make myself get up early-ish helps my body be ready to sleep at about the same time every night. good luck

  6. what would work the best would be sleeping pills OR pull an all nighter...that should straighten out your sleep pattern

    good luck!

  7. hard to say ,you could try to start a light workout routine if time permits ,could be something in your diet (or missing),could be your mattress,or pillow , maybe you need someone to spoon ,
