4 months ago my "friend" borrowed my favorite shirt that i got from anthropologie. i have been asking for it pretty much ever since then and she never gave it back. Tonight i texted her about it. here's the conversation:

Me: Hey can you bring my shirt tomorrow? I'm wearing it this weekend.

Her: Idk where it is. i looked everywhere. ill give you the money to buy another one or get something else.

Me: How could you do that? i trusted you!

Her:Jesus. you act like i tried to kill you or something. I'm not very organized, sorry! I'll give you money to buy a new one.

Me: Its not about the money! It was special! you need to find it or replace it. Its not fair, you don't just borrow someones stuff and lose it!

Her: Its a shirt? oh yes, it can be SO special.

Me:okay fine, you owe me 75$

Her:Bull c**p! people make mistakes. we can't even wear it to school anymore.

  1. Respond with "I didn't say I was going to wear it to school, I was going to wear it on the weekend."

Its my shirt, and you need to replace it. It was my favorite shirt okay? And I really trusted you with it, could you look again?

  2. i was in this exact same position lol my friend let me borrow her shirt for my first softball tryouts and i honestly have no idea where i put it and i felt so bad so i said my litte sister took it..so on the brightside at least she told you she lost it.she could have lied and said she would give it to you and kept "forgetting it" but anyway i know that right now this seems like a huge deal and i think she could have been a little more caring but in the big picture she offered you money to buy another shirt, which im sure dosnt help you now because you want to wear it but shirts can be replaced..friendships cant

  3. text her saying you didnt like what she did and that if she doesnt give you bak the money you guys are done...shes obviously not a true friend if she does that....
