What do i do if an agent is interested in me? (talent)?

I am 16 and 1/2, and an agent is "interested in me". (not the sexual way) I sing, but i really want to dance. I have tried acting, but i prefer dancing. It's just more fun.. everyone around me misses when I used to sing.. i'm talking 2 hours of practice a night for 3 years. I was good. but now i just don't have the passion for that much practice as I did. and i want to turn down this agent and say I'm not interested. I'm taking a hiphop dance class.. and i want to move in THAT direction. I have too much athletic ability to just stand in heels and sing out of my mouth, I want to use my whole body. but i don't know what i should do. I just need friendly advice. I'm not full of myself, i just needed to explain the situation i'm in.

ill tell you that most actors need to be able to dance and sing, just look at all the unexpected talent out there such as will ferrel in the producers.  anyway.  as a musician, i spend alot of time broke following my dream, but i can tell you that i've never been happier.  i think you should keep on dancing until youre at least 18 when you can try out for a troupe or squad, such as a cheerleading squad (pro of course) or something, unless you actually have a desire to pursue singing.  and maybe just sing for fun in the meantime, that's how i started, singing and playing guitar just for my friends, and now im looking at getting signed.  you never know where things will take you.

also, check out the agent and make sure hes legit.  he might have the best intentions, but is simply no good at what he does.  or maybe he has no connections.  you don't want to waste money, which is all that alot of agents are looking for.  just remember, he gets paid whether or not you get famous.

There's no reason you can't do both.  Being a triple threat (singing, acting, dancing) in performance is very valued.  Go for it all!!

I am IMMEDIATELY SUSPICIOUS of ANY Agent that would be interested in an unknown 16 year old child.  I think you need to have your parents check this 'Agent' out VERY carefully because there is something here that doesn't sound right to me.
