  1. "The oil companies fund the environmentalists. They're both on the same side of wanting to restrict supply,"

"When the oil companies are able to make hundreds of billions of dollars in profit, they're not going to come along and tell the American people that oil is abundant, that we are never going to run out of it, that we're finding increasing resources."

  2. if you think ts good enough get it patented before someone else does.

then figure out what to do from there.

  3. You should get a patent on it!!

  4. It's time to visit the library.

Bear in mind that almost everything has been proposed as a fuel over the years, and this is not the first period in history where everyone was searching for an alternative fuel.  Therefore it's very likely that someone else has thought of very much the same thing as you, and you can save some work and learn about the field by studying everyone else's proposals.

Find a large university engineering library, make friends with the librarian, buy a copy-machine card, and expect to spend a couple of weeks going through copies of journals (that's magazines, to you) pertaining to fuels, energy, and motor vehicle engineering.  Go back 110 years or so, when you'll learn that the first Diesel ran on coal dust.  You'll be very surprised how clever people were in the 1890's, and how well they could write.

Nobody will take you seriously unless you've become familiar with the field, and there's no sense in worrying about any sort of patent or even building prototypes until you have reasonable assurance that your idea contains some novel content and has a chance of being helpful.

So get at it.  You won't find most of the material you need on-line; many useful old journals haven't been indexed.  Universities will generally let you use their library even if you aren't a student.  Ask the librarian first; there might be a fee involved, but it's small.

  5. If it is cheaper, then build it and use it !

I'd done an Invention* and patented it, too, but it came 20 years too late, so no one has Interest !:- (

    *= A Power save Equalizer for the Hi-Fi-System !

  6. it depends on what the idea is, if it is something that you are able to test at home , then test it and if it works then you should try to get the idea patented. If you cant test it then i would suggest patenting it and then get a large testing company to test it but do not let them take credit for your idea

  7. Hire a bodyguard. Big oil will be knocking. You laugh, but a lot of people with "ideas" have died "mysteriously." Not to scare you, but it is really weird.

Big oil and the auto companies also have lots of patents stockpiled. So you could probably sell it to them, but actually making a difference is going to be hard.

  8. get a patent and make me a car! GO NO OIL!

  9. IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE A GOOD IDEA, THEIR ARE COMPANIES OUT THERE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH NEW IDEAS. DAVIDSON'S INVENTION IDEAS IS ONE,  MAYBE www,patentpages.net maybe, I'm a inventor, but on your computer ask it for invention ideas companies in Pennsylvania or California or Maine. if you tie-in with one they send you a contract first so your idea cant be stolen and they'll help you to advance it if no-one else has it patented. ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE i THOUGHT OF THEM.

  10. I would get it patented. Depending on the idea, go from there!

    P.S. What is it?

  11. send me the recipe I'll cash it in for you.

  12. I don't know if I would patent it, even though that would make me a lot of money, I would just give it out to everyone, that way no car or oil company could buy it up and then through it away! Everybody would be able to use it that away.
