What do i do if i lost the fill out card for jury duty?

I have jury selection tomorrow but i accidently lost the card they sent you thru the mail...kinda looks like an index card with questions you need to fill out about information about yourself. I basically lost everything, even the paper with the information that tells you where to show up and etc. I know i have to be there tomorrow at 8 a.m. but thats it. What can i do? Any suggestions?

Also i was wondering....since it's only jury selection tomorrow, is it ok to go dressed casual? As in jeans with a long sleeve polo, heels.....etc? And since i've heard it's quite boring, can i bring ipod for instance? Etc....?

I've been so stressed about this whole situation since i've gotten the notice due to the fact i have anxiety and panic attacks. I'm only 20 and i'm just nervous i guess. Really don't know what to expect. Please, help!

Just go and tell the Court Clerk you lost it.  You won't be the only one.  Either they will lock you up for a month or give you another to fill out.  Filling out another is by far more likely.

Call the office of the Jury Commissioner...it should be in the phone book.

Actually you are NOT "doing them a favour," you are doing what is known as your civic duty - one of those small prices we pay for living in a free society.

There shouldn't be any problem as far as losing your paperwork and dressing 'casual' shouldn't be any problem either. Just go down to your County Courthouse and report to the Jury Commission.

I don't see any problem with an iPod but keep the volume low so you can hear your name if you are called.

Los Angeles take your credit card with you. Because they have rental computers for you get on line. It can get really boring. if you get on line you can really rack some points on yahoo Q&A.

Don`t worry. I done Jury Duty last year. I`m terrible for loosing stuff. All i went there with was my passport to prove i.d.. I just made up a story that i had lost alot of paperwork after a clear out of my house. They have all your details on computer.

Don`t worry, admit that you are abit unorganised and that you are sorry, I was lucky that the lady thought it was funny.

Remember you are there to do them a favour, so they should help you.

Dress easy. You don`t want to be sweating in a c**p suit. All you are there for is your opinion. I went wearing a Cradle of Filth t-shirt. It`s me, i don`t do posh.

Like i said, YOU are there for them, they need your judgement. A weird thing to say, but , enjoy the experience.

You`ll be o.k....it`s not that bad.

Also if you have an ipod/mp3 player take it with you. There is alot of waiting involved.

Dont worry its quite interesting when you get there.
