What do i do if i want to go for an exchange in a university that is not partner with my univerity ?

im currently studying in swinburne in melbourne, i want to go for a year in a university in usa that is not a partner with swinburne,what should i do so that i can have an exchange with this university i want to go in usa

  1. As far as I know you would have to register as an international student and pay very high tutition fees. I live in Manitoba and am studying at Deakin University in Melbourne (where you live!) in February through my university. I just have to pay tution to my home university which will be around 1000$ for the semester as opposed to the 10,000$ I would pay to attend Deakin as an international student.

    So if you can, exchange through your unviersity otherwise you're going to have to take out huge loans to spend time studying abroad.


  2. Check with your university. Even though they do not have a partnership with this university, they might still be able to find you an exchange program that will save you the international student fees. I live in Canada and I have a friend who did something similar to go to Germany.
