What do i do w/ my broken digital camera?

i have a kodak digital camera with a printer and since the camera is broken and past its warranty i don't know what to do with either. is their some place that will salvage non working gizmos?

Hi Liz.   I have another suggestion.  Obviously, you are going to want to buy another camera...right?  First thing... Don't get another Kodak... or a Casio either.   What you can do is look for a shop in your city that sells cameras.... not a Walmart... but a regular camera store.   Take your camera and dock in and ask if you can trade it in for a new camera.  Now,  you won't get much but probably something and that could go towards the purchase of the new camera.   We do that at our store.  The owner will give $15.00 or $20.00 just to get the parts.... so that is worth a try.   You could also just try selling the dock to a pawn shop.  Sometimes they have the camera and no dock... so they could put it together for a set.   So that is my suggestion.  Hope it gives you another option.

Well, as you yourself realize it's not good for much but to salvage it. Can't really get any money out of it. So if you really want it to have a "second life" as opposed to rotting on a local dump (or non-local if your city sends it's garbage out) try these:

- Sell it on eBay for $0.01 "for parts" and "as is"

- Advertise it on Craig's List in "free" and "photo" sections, again "for parts".

Maybe someone who is a camera fixing wizard will take it off your hands. Other than that... Take out the batteries and bring them to a place like Staples for recycling and trash the rest.

You can sell it on ebay.

People often buy broken electronics stuff for spare parts or may attempt to fix and re-sell them.

Just make sure you sell it is as "broken" and not "working".
