What do i do when he is still hung up on his ex?

ok so this is the complex bit. I have known this guy for 5 years and we have been dating for 1 year. It's a long distance relationship but I have seen him 4 times this year with a 5th planned at xmas. He dropped on me last week (taking back all he had ever said to me) that he was unsure how he could love any one else when he was still broken over his ex (they have been broken up 18 months + and she is pregnant by another guy). I asked him where we go from here and he said he doesnt know. What am i ment to do as I have been waiting a week for an answer and I dont want to pressure him into the one i dont want to here.

he honestly sounds like he may be a good guy .I think hes just a little rattled and hurt by his ex right now so maybe you should give him a bit more time to figure out whats going on.you guys should definitely discuss your relationship though and let him know that youre here for him but you dont want to be hurt either since you have no intentions on hurting him
