  1. What type of camera is it?

If it is a DSLR, is the lens clicked into place correctly?

If it is a Compact, is there something preventing your lens from opening or fully retracting?

check that the batteries are fully charged for a compact, a lot of power is used just in start up.

For a DSLR check that the lens and program modes are matching, that is if your lens has the capability of locking or adjusting f-stops manually, like older Nikon's.

    Good Luck.

  2. Did you drop it anywhere, because if you did, see if the lens is bent, cracked or fractured.  If it is you have to fix it.

  3. Have you checked the battery?  Sometime when the Battrery is loww it give those kind of messages

  4. Cool code .. but what camera and model number?  Tell us and someone should be able to help you.

I would suggest you call the camera companies help line and start from there

  5. Have you looked in your camera manual?  Sometimes they list error codes and tell you what to do.

Oh yes, and knowing what model camera is helpful here too.
