I just got a kitten, I put her in my laundry room and she was really scared. After a while i patted it and let her out and she was running all over my house but she also running away from me. Then i caught her and put her in her carrying cage and went to eat food, she kept meowing for a while sadly, then i let her out and she went behind the laundry, and she is still there! What do i do? How is she? I can't reach behind the laundry so I don't know, I'm really worried!

  1. close the door to the laundry room.  And don't put a cat in a carrier. if shes running around shes just hyper because shes little.try and play with her. if she hisses at you she's probably not used to things yet, just give her a few days to calm down.

  2. first put treats on the floor so she will come out. then put some treats in your hand and she will eat them off of your hand and begin to trust you. stroke her fur and if she likes it try to pick her up. hopefully your relationship will expand. good luck with your kitten!!!

  3. shes jsut gonna have to get used to a new house.

it also depends if she was raised in barn. never buy a barn cat i did never a good idea. and it it was beaten it may hide from ppl

  4. She could be a feral cat. Where did you get her from? She may need time to adjust to her new surroundings.

  5. If she got back there, she can get out. Just leave down food and water and she will be fine.  They hide when scared.  She might whine a while , but she is scared.  Let her get use to one room at a time.

just make sure there are no open holes back there where lines come in and out that she fit through.  They will amaze you at the tiniest places they can fit.

    and CONGRADS.

  6. awww when ever i see a kitty i get it not matter wat i have to do..... ok the kitty just needs time to get used to where its living and its normal for a small cat to be running around u should try leave the kitty out side it cage in the daytime and when it comes to night time put it in its cage play with it alot to at night it gets tired and falls asleep ok and u should try meowing like a cat to maybe encourage it to come out of the laundry room and shes ok dont worry soon she will get out of there and best of luck, tina (hope my tips work :] )

  7. kitties like to hide a while because they are not use to there new place i hope u  don't keep it in a carrier always it will never become friendly like that it takes time to adjust keep petting and hold and even talk to

  8. Give her time. When I got a kitten she hid under the bed for 2 days. Or at least when I was awake. After that when I was awake I saw her starting to investigate her new home while I was up. Eventually coming over to me. Especially when she knew who was putting her food out for her.

  9. Don,t bother her. my cat lives in the landry room too. It took her a while to get used to the room but after that she was fine. Remember to feed her every day and give her plenty of attention or she'll run away. goodluck!

  10. Let her hide for a while. She'll come out when she's good and ready. Don't chase her, and don't try to give her too much attention. All that will just frighten her. You need to have patience while she adjusts. Keep her in the laundry room like you intended. Make sure that you keep fresh water and food out for her, and keep a kitten sized litter box in there for her too. You can try to check in on her from time to time, but the big thing is that things have to happen on her time.

  11. Yeah Im pretty sure that she will be able to get out, put her food and water and blankets for her so she can get comfy.
