What do i do with it!?

I pierced below my lip yesterday. I don't know what to clean the hole with because i don't want a huge infection! The only thing i have in my house to clean it with is Claire's earring antiseptic and some rubbing alcohol and some hydrogen peroxide. I have to hide the piercing from my mom and dad because they don't approve of them except my ears. i am 15 btw. so what should i use to clean it?

DON'T USE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. I clean my piercings with a sanitized salt spray called H2Ocean. I bought it at a piercing parlor. It's a bit expensive, so I make my own when I run out by heating up water in the microwave (to sterilize it) then mix with sea salt and let it cool a bit before applying. Use a Q-tip to apply.

Salt naturally cleans the piercing my increasing circulation to the pierced area and draws the discharge out of your skin. I'd do this at least twice a day.

if you're going to use such big/mature words in e-mails like this:

ahhh....no surprise I guess....you take the LEAST mature approach to everything.

-pierce yourself

-think that telling me it was a sewing needle makes it any less idiotic

-have no idea how to take care of the piercing

-think you can  hide a facial piercing from anybody.......IT'S ON YOUR FACE

-use words like "your" instead of "you're"

-"fa git" instead of "********"

-and then there's all of those asinine comments about **ing and **ing

I really hope that when you grow up you realize how stupid you're being

and I sincerely hope you make something out of yourself

but right now, it seems to me (a total stranger) that you're probably not doing well in school, probably doing more stupid/irresponsible/dangerous stuff like piercing yourself/drugs/underage s*x

so in conclusion, I realize I've been a complete jerk

but I'd be willing to bet I'm 100% right about everything

and if calling you out on it has a 1% chance of changing anything in your life for the better, I'm happy to do it.

I read this question, and completely cringed.

First of all, good luck trying to hide that from your parents. I think they will notice when they uh, see it?

Claire's earring antiseptic is only supposed to be used on ears. Using hydrogen peroxide will only irritate the piercing.

Unfortunately, because you are underage, probably used a safety pin, or some other stupid form of piercing instrument, you will probably still get an infection.

Tough luck.

Too bad you didn't wait until you were legal to do it, eh?

you're 15......you pierced your LIP without parental permission....and you have no idea how to take care of it

1 - it sounds like you or a friend did it.....which is stupid and irresponsible

2 - it sounds like you are in general, very stupid, irresponsible, and immature

3 - how do you plan on hiding a LIP piercing from your parents

you've already gotten good answers as to how to take care of it

the only advice I have for you is...........grow up

Wound Wash Saline would be the best thing probably to clean it with. It isn't expensive at all. Maybe like 5 or 6 bucks.

You best bet would be just to take it out and wait until you are old enough. If you don't take care of it properly chances are you will get a serious infection and have to tell your parents.
