  1. keep her in a seprate hutch/cage and DONT pik her up...

and also DONT pik up the babies til they are 2 and a half weeks!! good luck

  2. Keep her in her own hutch and don't handle her that much. Put plenty of bedding material in for her and maybe give her a nest box (an upturned box with an entrance should do) which should be filled with lots of nesting material too.

Keep giving her her normal dry food and add juicy veggies to keep her vitamin c levels up. When she gives birth (about 65-72 days - 2  1/2 months - after mating) give her and the pups lots of privacy.

    Good Luck!

  3. Well the best thing to do is sell the male guinea pig.And then let the mother give birth. And then when the mother guinea pig gives birth a female guinea pig keep and then sell the other baby guinea pigs when they don't have to drink the milk of their mother. And after 21 days the baby will stop drinking milk. And then you can sell them. But I think you should sell them when they are about 3 or 4 months. And the most important thing is not to pick up the mother guinea pig until it gives birth and not to pick up the babies until they are 3 weeks or less

    Good luck!

  5. You do not have to do anything different with her. Just make sure she has hay, dry food and water available at ALL TIMES.

Ignore the first answerer... baby guinea pigs are not like most rodents. The mother will NOT eat them if you touch them straight away. I handled all 20 of my baby guinea pigs the day they were born.

  6. Yes, keep her in a different cage of course. You will have to buy her a bag of Alfalfa Hay, since she needs the extra calcium while nursing, the babies will also need that until they are about 6 months old. You will also want to try to feed your girl and future babies Alfalfa based pellets until your babies are about 6 months old. You will also want to keep another extra cage on hand when the babies come, because most likely you will have at least  boy, and the become sexually mature at 3 weeks of age, so will want to seperate boys at that age so no more pregnancies occur. And just thinking about the piggies, pregnant guinea pigs will love a blanket in their cage if your not using fleece as your bedding. Also you want to make sure they get lots of Vitamin C (more than usual), which can be done through the Alfalfa, and veggies! Good veggies for this includes Broccoli and Parsely to name a few. You will want to also weigh the mom just to see if there is weight gain because pregnant pigs do gain more weight, along with the distinct pear shape. Well, I think that's all, GL!!
