Question:

What do i do?i had a bridge done a year and 1/2 ago it cracked so im having it redone by another dentist.?

i contacted the past dentist for a refund her secretary says she highly doubts this will happen becausedidn'tt give her a chance to fix it. for what? to mess it up again? what should i do? i need to return her call.

  1. I would also highly doubt you'll get a refund for it. The original dentist needs to see the bridge to see what caused it to break. Undue pressure on a certain area, did one of the anchor teeth decay... There are several reasons for a broken bridge, not just "the dentist s******g up". It could have had a weak spot. Believe it or not, odds are your dentist didn't make the bridge. She sent your impressions to a lab where they made it.

    I would go see the original dentist and see what they can do. But, like I said, I highly doubt you'll get a refund.  


  2. Depending on the circumstances on how and why the bridge cracked to begin with, you need to at least call your dentist and discuss the matter with her.  After discussing the matter with your dentist, if you still want to seek a second opinion, then go ahead.
