What do i feed a baby res beside pellets?

they love lettuce (dark leafes are best, light leafes does not give them much nutritional value) also small pieces of carrots, green beans, collard greens, spinache ( everything fresh not cooked). they also love little feeder fish and crickets. make sure they are small enough ( i had to kill mine first because they were to fast for my little res). also little worms. most of that stuff you can buy at the petstore realy cheap. i go a can of live worms in the fridge with 50 worms in it for under $4. also some turtle bone is helpful. it is a floating calcium stone that he can chew on. (mine eventually sunk and he had even more fun with it). make sure you give him a veriaty of foods. switch it up every day. one day veggie one day protein (fish or whatever). they get bored with the same food all the time.

You need to feed them feeder guppies, goldfish or minnows for protein and calcium daily.

They need leafy greens for vitamins at least 3 to 4 times a week.

Did you know that they need to bask under a reptile light for  8 to 10 hrs a day for the vitamin D that  they need to grow.

Leave the heater on 75 to 78 degrees always.

Their water needs to be clean otherwise they get sick easily from dirty water cause they p**p allot.

You need a good filter system?

And a big tank 55 gallons or more..

Red-eared sliders, Gender especially juveniles, can be difficult to s*x. Gender in adults is determined by external physical characteristics and behavior. Males have longer fore claws (which are use in courtship), a longer tail length. Males are smaller in size and shell length. Turtles are considered juveniles till after 5 yrs old

Forget plant material; babies are carnivores. Earthworms, fishes (not goldfish), soft-bodied insects, and strips of liver dusted in bonemeal are good foods.
