  1. If the snake is small then feed it crickets, snails, grasshoppers, butterflies, moths, and stuff from outside that are native (try to find snails that are not too much bigger then the snakes head). No flies - they have worms. Don't spay pesticides on anything, or weedkiller, since it could kill the snake or make it really sick. Try quail eggs from an asian market, or go to mulberryfarms.com to buy some large golaith hornworms (pretty green tomato worms) which will fill it up.

If the snake is over 3 feet it will probably take raw meat if you dangle it and make it look somewhat alive with movement. Use tongs so you are not the one who gets eaten. Turky meat is best, chicken is next best, and then you get into all the other meats. About 1 ounce size (small enough to fit into a 1/4c. measuring cup or smaller) at a time. They usually eat once a week unless they are in a growth spurt then they eat more. They also eat less if they are stressed or about to shed.

Make sure it's drinking the water. you may need to give it bottled water or pre-boiled and treated water (treat with something like reptisafe dropps)

Once it's eating and energetic you are on the right path. They are really lazy for a little while after a big meal but that's normal. Keep track of how often it poops, it may have worms if it's not pooped in 2 weeks.

    Good luck with your snake!

  2. try full grown crickets(if its big enough)

  3. You can buy frozen mice over the internet. In the meantime, a live fish might do. Or a dead one, but whole.

  4. You can also feed your snake on rats, hamsters or gerbils.

But your snake can go for many months without food.

I'm sure you will be able to find some sort of rodent for it at a pet store within that time.

Please do not feed your snake any other meat/chicken.

Don't try crickets or raw chicken.

  6. Snakes only eat small animals. you can try having frozen mice mailed to you. I'm not sure where you get them though, sorry.

  7. depending on species. mice, and rats are commonly their food. Any warm blooded invertibrates at the snakes width or a little bigger is good. Small species like garter snakes eat large insects like crickets and worms, and feeder fish as well. Mice can be bought frozen but most snakes wont take them. If you cant find anything else, buy a small hamster or other small fuzzy creatures like gerbils. Good Luck!

  8. raw chicken i would think might work.

  9. mabe raw meat? chicken eggs?
