  1. this might sound weird

it helps with sleep issues i read in a magazine(: really, try it

  2. Ok, here is the deal.  When people write outlandish stuff like this, the first thing we as regular answerers do is check previous questions.  When they are private it means they are a troll.

So that would be why you are getting the bad comments, because you are a troll.

But if the question was real, and who knows maybe some kids are reading this trying to figure out how to get up earlier....

The trick to setting the clock, that would be the internal clock we all have, is not going to bed earlier, but getting up earlier.  One trick we used to use in one of my old professions was to stay awake and entire night, then go to bed when you would normally need to go to bed.  No mid afternoon naps, or coffee to keep you awake during the day.  If you are used to staying up until 3am, it really isn't hard to extend it to 9pm.... and extra 18 hours.

As for all her other problems.  They can all be solved by selling the computer.  All the studies are now showing that "being connected" leads to be disconnected from the real world.  You spend less time with friends and family the more time you spend on the computer and on the cell phones.

So getting rid of the computer, exercising regularly, eating healthy, will all help with depression, and of course making up stories on the computer to get attention.

  3. I dont know your deep suituation but i understand that you went through a hard time....its horrible to lose your father!! But you deserve to be happy and you are a person with feelings and cares mabey you cant sleep because your self-esteem is low idk..checkout a local church and look to jesus for help he will change your life or checkout some inspiring books like "the bride wore white" or "s*x isnt the problem lust is" ...i know these may not sound like helpful titles but they could lead to curing the damaging feelings you have!! Im 14 and i understand hurt feeling try benadrol !!or meet supportive friends from churches that can inspire your life!!!

  4. 1st of all sleep is affected by a lot of factors..it can be of your diet before sleeping and psychosocial problems to say the least..what you can do prior to sleep is eat 3 hours after your last meal, avoid coffee and tea..avoid eating heavy and/or spicy foods...have a regular exercise (morning or afternoon)..try drinking a warm milk maybe 30 min or an hour prior to sleep..meditate or relax..avoid thinking to much..and pray..Godbless

  5. Read a text book. Its boring and you most likely won't be interested in it.

  6. "info about me- I am 13, i have been diagnose with severe depression, really bad anxiety,i just got over self harming, my father killed himself, my mom is bi-polar, i wear hearing aids, and I can barely sleep!"

Oh :[ I'm sorry to say that sleeping is not your main issue here. You need to get to know yourself, figure out when YOU want to go to bed, and dont let your parents push you around. You have a right to say "No, I'm not tired, I'll sleep when I get tired, but I'm planning on going to bed earlier for school, I have it under control." Also, get help for your anxiety! You need to know that you are the lock and you are the key, in other words, you create the anxiety and you are the cure to it. Understand that EVERYONE has anxiety, its not just you, everyones got problems. Look up and down your street; every neighbor of yours has got problems, but don't worry about those problems, just take control of your anxiety and don't let it get the best of you. When you get anxiety, just relax and breath in 2 seconds (1 mississippi, 2 mississippi) and breath out for 4 seconds (1 mississippi, 2... 3... 4 mississippi)

I know you don't, like, know me, but i'll be here for you if you ever need to like talk or something. you can e-mail me..

  7. Uh, go to sleep when you are supposed to.

I don't want to sound rude, but you say your father killed himself, but you have to go to bed when your PARENTS tell you?  hmm?

  8. Wow, you have a lot going on in your life.  Thats a lot to handle.  It must be miserable to not get sleep.  If it remains a constant problem maybe you can do a different type of schooling, like independant or online study school.  When you attempt to go to sleep at night, turn off the lightds and sounds, no tv/radio.  Its much easier for your mind to relax.  A sound machine is supposed to help a lot, the sound of waves, etc.  If you cant afford one but a CD that makes sounds of nature.  Its proven to help people a  lot.  You uhave quite ahistory for being so young...try to turn it into a strength...one day you will be stronger and be able to help others...for now, remind yourself that you are a child and try not to let other people burdeons weigh on your mind.

  9. wow you have a hard life im so sorry to hear that

just relax and take it easy it seems you are stressed you shouldnt be enjoy your life you are in control and if you want you can go to sleep when you want

just relax and think deep relaxing thoughts

    PS

please stop with the self hurt things will get better with time

you are young and have alot to look forward to

    thing will get better trust

  10. Maybe just read or write in your journal in bed for awhile until you get tired.  When school starts you might be tired for a week or so but then your internal clock will adjust and you will start getting tired earlier anway.  You will be okay.

  11. I don't understand why society has decided that EVERYONE should sleep at night and awake during the daylight. We're unique individuals and our internal clocks might be different than the rest of society.

School hours will pose a problem for you, and I hope you figure out a way to balance going to school and getting sleep. Good luck.
