ok i have 3 book reports to do but im so confused and have no idea what to do help????? it says " YOUR TASK: you will write a critical essay in which u discuss the 3 works u have read from a particular perspective from a list of critical lenses. in ur essay provide a valid interpretation of the critical lenses , agree or not with the statement interpreted it and support ur opinion using specific references to appropriate literary of element from the 3 works" the books are the secret life of bees by sue mark kidd a raisin in the sun by lorraine hansberry a martian chronicles by ray bradbury i dont want you to do it for me but tell me what i have to do in a way i can understand it here are some critical lenses the human heart has ever dreamed of a fairer world than the one it knows

2 to gain that which is worth having it may be necessary to lose everything else

3 i like flawed characters because somewere in them i see more truth

4 in the world goodness is destined to be defeated

5 good people... are good because they've come to wisdom through failure

I have not read the books but here is what you need to do.

1.  Take one of the lenses and discuss it using references from the 3 books.  For example "goodness is destined to be defeated".  Do you agree with that or not?  Why?  What does the books say about it to support your opinion?

You are going to be giving your opinion, your interpretation, of these lenses and you are going to use references from the books to support your opinion.  

Do this for as many of the lenses as you need.  Take one at a time.  Don't mix them but you can use the same references to support different arguments or opinions.
