What do i have to do to get a class B CDL?

1) Fill out proper forms at DMV.

2) Pay proper fees at DMV

3) Written CDL general knowlege test. Test for any endorsements you want as well. - will receive a permit.

4) Wait 15 days after passing knowlege tests. Use this time to drive around and practice your backing, docking, and paralell parking.

5) Go to DMV with a truck, and give a competent pre-trip inspection in front of an examiner.

6) Take a "parking lot" skills test around some cones.

7) Take a road test

It's all spelled out in the manual - available (where else...) at the DMV.

Or you could pay about $3500-$4000 to go to a CDL school. They basically "help" you do all of the above, but lend you a truck to practice and to test in.
