What do i have to do to put a picture of my grandpa on his tomb stone?

Is there like a tomb stone company or do i have to go to the funeral home?

  1. You will need to speak with the company that you are purchasing the tombstone from.  You can bring a picture of your Grandfather and say that you'd like to have it encased on the stone or you can ask the company to have your Grandfather's picture "carved" into the stone, thus avoiding having the picture fade away over time.

    You will also need to speak with the Cemetery Office of the cemetery where your Grandfather is to be buried (or already is buried) and ask them if the cemetery permits pictures on the tombstone.  Each cemetery has different rules.

  2. My uncle has his picture on his tombstone. What my aunt basically did is get this button (about 5 inches wide) with his picture. Most portrait places will do this, even check out dept. store photo centers. She just stuck it on the tombstone. It came out pretty neat and the picture has already lasted six years. This is a pretty easy DIY way but I'm sure you could check with the tombstone company.
