What do i have to do to transport an airsoft pistol through an airport?

You cant, ship it there...you dont need you airsoft gun for everything.

You will not be able to carry it with you or onboard.  Your only option is to call the airline you are traveling with ahead of time and find out what their procedures are for checking it.  Usually it has to be properly packaged (proper carrying case) and it has to be unloaded.  The ammo has to also be in proper packaging in a seperate piece of luggage.  Once you go to check in you have to declare the weapon.  They will give you a special paper for it and when you check it with security, they run a swab test on it with a police officer present, once it passes the test it gets but on the belt to be loaded underneath the palne.
