What do i need before i take my permit test??

ok do i need to take that drivers ed class in school before i get my permit? or i need to have taken it before i get my drivers license?? and what do i need to take with me when i go to take my permit test this saturday?? and is there a i can get my license earlier if it has to do with like a sick family member or sumthing?? idk

You do not have to take driver's ed before you get your permit. i just got mine last week. all you need is 1 source of id, like your school id, you need your original birth certificate, and your social secuity card.
