Question:

What do i need for my tank?

i have a 90 litre 2 foot tank currently with 8 neon tetras, 6 feeder barbs, a bronze cat fish and 3 goldfish, also a hang on filter, large rocks, about 5 grass like plants, a pipe ornament, heater at 22c, its near a giant window with light almost all day

what else should i add, aerator, an internal filter, light, more plants, more fish, a snail or two

  1. first get rid of the goldfish

    then move the tank into the shade

    then up the temp to 25c

    get all the things you listed and get nerite or trumpet snails because i dont think they eat plants  


  2. you're overstocked with just the goldfish alone... so preferably a new home for the goldfish (which are cold water anyway...) or at the very least another filter.

  3. Hi,

    I would recommend making an air pump your priority in my experience it makes the fish more lively because theres more oxygen in the water. As well add a light then you can see them at night as well, but other than that it sounds great. One problem which you may have is that with it being near a window then it may go green and algea start growing every where.
