What do i need for wireless router?

I currently have cable broadband, but do I need to use the broadband modem with a wireless router?

If you like to use the wireless you need to have router connected to the modem and also your pc or laptop must have wireless card like USB or builtin laptop or something like that.

if you dont like to use the wireless then you just use your modem that is.

You'll need the cable modem to get Internet service, because it has the circuits necessary to decode the cable signal. Most routers don't have cable or DSL built in. Plug your new router into the cable modem where your computer used to go, and plug your computer into the router so you can set it up. Once it's set up you can start using the wireless.
