  1. You will need a 71%. Good luck

    Proof:

    0.41*0.7+0.3*x=0.5

    x = 0.71

    0.71 * 100% = 71%

  2. To figure out what you need do this

    take your current mark and multiply it by the what your course is worth. this is achieved by taking 100% minus the value of your final exam so in other words in your case would be 70%.

    .41*.7=.287

    Multiply that number by 100 to get the percent form. That is your current mark if you were NOT to write the final exam. Now do the same thing with your final exam. Take what you would like to get on your final exam and multiply it by what the final exam is worth. We will use 71% as an example.

    .71*.3=.213

    Multiply this number by 100 to get the percent form. What this means is how much the final exam will add to to the other percent we did earlier.

    Now we add them up.

    28.7%+21.3%=50%

    This method could be tedious to figure out, but this is the same method by math teacher used and it is very easy to explain and easy to understand.

    Good luck!!

  3. 71%
