What do i need to become a corn snake breeder?

I don't have that big of a House, I live in a townhouse. Also How much will it cost me and where do I sell the snakes?

  1. you do need lots of room for racks and breeder cages it will cost a lot of money most people who get into breeding don't do it for the money you can sell them at local pet stores on-line or at reptile shows. i suggest going to several shows and asking the breeders there questions also see their setups


  2. The two most important things you need are-

    -adult corn snakes for breeding stock

    -customers

    I would recommend finding a away to dispose of the offspring BEFORE you breed them. The market is saturated with corn snakes, especially the normal and more common morphs. I know several breeders that sell them at prices far below the cost of maintaining the adults, just to get rid of them.

    It usually doesn't make sense for somebody that breeds a single, common species (like corns) to travel to breeder's expos selling them. I would suggest lining up a couple of local pet stores to sell them for you.

    If you do not know how to house and feed the snakes, you will need to research that as well.

  3. you need 2 corn snakes then you have to wait 9 months
