What do i need to become a kindergarten teacher in Florida?? please help........... please?

Ok i want to become a kindergarten teacher or a Pre K. i live in Oseola County in Florida. i heard that all i need is 60 credits or a CDA. Right now im in the process of starting school. im taking the Pre Major: Early Childhood Education. its a AA degree and ill have 60 credits. Is that all i need?? or did i get the wrong info??

Can i start working right after?

whats the process??

  1. In order to become a kindergarten teacher you will have to a have graduated for a college or university. You will then have to then have to be certified in order to become a teacher. If you are about graduate from a community college you may and that is only a big if become a teacher aide. To become a teacher is a lofty ambition. The best of luck to you.


  2. You really need to see the advisor at your school. They can give you exact information and direct you to get certification. I would call on Monday and make an appointment.
