  1. You need to get your associates or bachelors in nursing and then after you graduate you will take classes offered by the hospital. Or take orientation time at the hospital. But you must have a nursing license first.

I am a neonatoal nurse and like the other person said, you will need either an associate degree in nursing, or a bachelors of science in nursing, or you could go big and become a neonatal nurse practitioner which is a masters degree. As far as which school is best it depends on your location, some community colleges offer the associate degree, or you could attend a university for the bachelors or masters.  

    It is definately a rewarding and very enjoyable career.
