What do i need to buy to make my 30l biOrb a marine biOrb. i dont want to buy the conversion kit.

i was hoping to use live rock. i saw on a couple of websites that in a 30l biOrb you can have two clownfish two cleaning shrimp and a humbug damsel. i was hoping to have two clownfish and one cleaning shrimp. is this ok or not? thats my question.i talked to my local tropical fish store and they said it would be alright for a 30l but should i upgrade to a 60l?

  1. Well what kind of setup are you wanting. Coral, invertebrates, fish? An 8 gallon is fine for growing some coral and keeping a single fish or 2. What will you use for biological filtration? Live rock is an excellent source for using for biological filtration. For an 8 gallon you will want about 8 lbs of rock. You don't necessarily have to get the conversion kit. I would suggest buying an appropriate bulb for the lid, and one with strong spectrum if growing coral. Then you should just need a hydrometer or refractometer for measuring salinity, the salts for the water, and a large bucket for mixing your salt water mix.
