What do i need to do, to achieve a big rank in the Navy like Captain, Admiral?

anything in that range. For the Canadian Navy.

This isnt funny to me, so please, no "canadian" jokes unless you have a serious answer with that. Thank you.

  2. I'm not canadian or in the Navy.

    But in the American Army to become an officer you either need to have a degree, or go to OCS (officers candidate school)

    you could stay on the enlisted side and work your way up the ranks like seargeant, staff sergeant ect.

  3. I don't know what Canada's equivalent to Annapolis is, but try to get in to it. In the US services, academy grads usually advance faster than others.


  4. First you need a commission to Ensign.  After that, you will have to move from assignment to assignment, plus some stops at War College.  Every assignment-you'll have to excel.

    It wouldn't hurt to be promoted "deep" which is navy-speak for "ahead of your peers".  Certainly you'll need a command: be it surface or subsurface.
