What do i need to do before and after selling my car in matter of the DMV?

I just sold my car and i just turn in the transfer and release of liability form, is there any other step that i need to take??? or was there a step that i just skip???

You didn't say what state you live.

Each state is different.  So call your DMV or check out their website.

It will depend on what state you are in, but here is the link to what is required in California. There are a few forms to fill out to make sure you are not liable for any parking tickets or vehicle registration fees.   http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/sell.htm
