  1. if your from america take a lot of money the exchange rate is horriffic! i went to germany in november and the exchange rate was horrible and has gotten worse ive heard. work/school visas would likely be necessary also. germany was gorgous munic was awesome its better than youd expect try looking to live there or italy i heard was really nice too ive never been yet but my parents went twice and loved it. dont move to austria they people were very cold/mean to us at least idk maybe they just didnt like me haha

  2. Your primary concern will be getting a work visa so you can live there.. or a student visa to attend university there.  Every country has strict regulations controlling these things...you must show proof of sufficient income and/or have an employer to sponsor your work visa to get a visa which allows you to stay longer than the usual 3 months a tourist may stay.  You need to choose 2 or 3 countries, look on their embassy websites and research work and student  visa requirements.  You are right , it is hard.  Now, here is another idea you may like.  Some countries have what is called "working Holiday" visa agreements with other countries. Until recently, the U.S. did not have any avail.  Now, Australia and the U.S. have a plan.  I know Australia is not Europe, but it is a chance to travel abroad, and be able to work...it would be a great experience.  You can research this at the site below.  if your heart is set on Europe, you will have a better chance if you finish university, get a degree in something that would make you attractive to employers who would send staff to Europe, and seek an American employer to send you.  European employers are hard to find...no shortage of workers, including highly educated ones.
