What do i need to do to become an AIT instructor at 63B school in fort jackson?

I dont want to be a drill sergeant. i would like to teach soldiers in the classroom.

  1. Most AIT instructors are a mixture of military and civilian. If you are military, getting assigned to teach is not different then getting assigned anywhere else with your MOS. If you are a 63B and get assigned to the post where the AIT is, then you can request/try to get assigned to the schoolhouse. But you need to be at least an E-6 to do this.
