  1. Well.. I have MANY friends from Peru that have tried to get their Visas and its just not easy.. in fact a few of them moved to South Korea just because they wanted out of Lima.. cant come here but they could go there..

For another friend we even tried writing letters of invitation for her. From our church, the pastor, and the family she would have stayed with... she didnt get it.. tried 3 times.. I honestly think they just want the money, because they have to pay a certain amount each time they make an appointment for a visa.

BUT some good news, another friend, plus his wife and child, all got visa's and are actually here right now.. Granted, he is a pastor of a church and is paid by the church organization here in the states.. but he said it was definitely a God thing becuase the lady that interviewed them just loved them and was really nice... so i guess it depends on who they get..

so the answer is this.. YOU.. really can't do anything..

  2. If he wants to visit in the U.S., he needs to apply for a tourist visa through the nearest American embassy or consulate.  If he wants to immigrate to the U.S. , he will need to apply to immigrate...a process which takes several years, and only a small percentage of applicants are accepted.  See sites below to study the visa application and/or immigration requirements.

  3. First of all this person would have to try to obtain a tourist Visa at the US Embassy.

Once he has a valid Peruvian Passport (not going to expire in less than 6 months) he has to pay S/. 40 (Soles) at the Scotiabank to get a PIN number and call the Embassy to get an appointment for his interview (in about a week ) then he has to pay a US $ 131 fee

Nowadays it's not easy to get a visa, he has to prove he is wealthy enough for not trying to stay illegaly in the USA (personal income, ownership of properties & vehicles, bank account and most of all not being reported for credit debts). When he's not wealthy It's really a gamble and maybe he's lucky and gets it on the first try (he only gets 3 chances, after the 3rd rejection he's done for ).

There are  other  ways to make things easier for him.

One is that the company were he's supposed to work for, sends a letter to the US Embassy asuring them that he's is a stable employee and not by any chance is trying to overstay his visit in the US.

He could also check out for any international fair in the US regarding a product of his expertise, get an invitation and present it at the Embassy.

A more tedious measure would be to register this person at an institution like a Language school or any kind of school to justify his visa. But I would go this far only if he gets rejected twice.
