What do i need to do to get my ged in ny state?

If i was 17 what would i need to do to get my ged in ny? Been out of school more than one year, and need it asap

You can find out GED testing centers in your state by going online, along with the rules for taking the test.  My state requires that you take adult ed classes for a minimum two months before being allowed to test, and you have to be 18 in my state.  Or look in the phone book under Education -- adult classes.

You don't have to go to a test center. Some people just take the test-one of my closest friends did that and passed it. To get information about testing sites go to the following website:

You will also get answers to almost any question that you can think of about getting your GED in New York State.

Is you do need to study for the test, there is also a list of study sites.  You can also get help on self study materials form your local library-go and ask a reference librarian for help.
