What do i need to do to get my permit?

do i need to be passing an amount of classes or something.i live in illinois

well u need an attendence sheet and good grades and some type of identification like birth certificate, i.d., passport.

You do not need to be passing your classes. Getting a permit isn't associated with your schooling.

In order to get a permit you must --

Be at least 15

Be enrolled in or passed a drivers education course

Pass the written and vision tests

And have 6 hours of professional behind the wheel training.

BUT if you plan on getting a car to go along with your permit/license you should definitely pass all of your classes because with insurance rates theses days, you can't afford to fail. The lower your grates, the higher the insurance price.
