What do i need to get internet on my laptop?

If what you need is a laptop internet connection at home only and you have DSL or cable internet access at home, you should set up a wireless network so that your two PCs can share the same internet connection. Basically, your internet modem will be plugged into the router, which will then distribute the internet to your desktop via a wire and to your laptop via radio signal. You will be able to use your laptop ( and the internet) in any room in your home via your laptop. Your laptop should have built in WIFI and the router you choose will likely have instructions and a setup program to help you configure both your computers.
