What do i need to know to IM through Command Prompt?

i know there is a way to im other computers on the same network, i just dont remeber what i need to do, and what i need to know in order to do that.

  1. Netsend /domain:computername message

    pops up on that computer.

    This is not an instant message program; winpopup use to be the instant message program for intranets but is now dead as of windows ME.


  2. It's called the Net SEND command. It's not really an IM since the messaging is one-way and the messages come up as dialog boxes.

    This is how you use it:

    NET SEND {name | * | /DOMAIN[:name] | /USERS your message

    This no longer works with Vista or on XP computers with the messenger service or winpopup disabled.
