i'm surprising a friend with tickets to see a race in NH in september but have no clue on picking seats. I seem to notice that the higher the row number the more expensive the tickets are..so these have to be the better seats right?

  1. The higher seats give you a better view but are more expensive.  However, the lower seats, I sit on the front row at Texas, gives you a sense of the speeds that these cars are going.  You cannot get a true feel for the speed and power sitting that far from the track.

You should get there as early as you can to visit the souvenir trailers.  I don't know about parking at NH but at Texas, its better to park further away and walk up, it doesn't take as long to get out.

  2. Yes, Higher usually is better because the higher you are you can see alot more, or all of the track. Where as down low your vision is blocked sometimes.

Sometimes I prefer down low so I have a close up of the pits during pit stops or so I can get up at ease and walk around and take in all the sites. Walk down to turn 4 and watch them coming at me, Check out the souvener trailers, grab a beer etc. etc.

It ALL DEPENDS on what track your at or how you want to spend the race as to where you might want to sit.

Rule of thumb though is the higher the best vision.

If I'm with one other person and we wanted to sit, and concentrate on the entire race, I would sit as high as possible and rent some scanners!

  3. Do your research depending on what track you plan to go to go on-line to the tracks website and find a seating chart, then find out the availability of seats, if there are seats available see if you can get parking passes etc. you necessarily don't have to get to the track early, i do so we can tailgate get good parking and have a good time. hope this helps you out.
