What do i need to make HD Tv work?

I want to get a new tv set and was planning on buying a 40" HDTV set. I have cable Tv and was wondering What all would i need to buy or go through to get my cable to work with my new set if i got it?

Your TV will work with your existing cable just fine.

However, you may want to consider:

a) Geting digital cable (analog cable on HDTV looks very bad)

b) Actually getting HD programming
