What do i need to make a site?

Okay i'm getting borde of piczo and really want to make a site. Is there any other program besides piczo that i can make a site from? Please help me.

For HTML, the best free html editor is Evrsoft 2006. I use dreamweaver, but that is expensive.

Website builders & hosting services come in a variety of flavors.

Usually the more you can do with them (visual effects) the more they cost, and most free ones will show some  type of advertising on your site.

Some fairly robust yet cheap ones are 'yahoo geocities' and 'bravenet, which have entry level free sites and move up the cost scale as you get more services.

Here is a basic process of how to create your own site.

1.) Go to godaddy.com (or other registar service) and buy a domain name.

2.) Find a hosting service that you want (or you can use Godaddy's servers)

3.) Get a book on XHTML and start reading and using basic programs like notepad and others to start out.

4.) Graduate from the book and start using programs like DreamWeaver, or jEdit.  Or something that you can have more control and has a syntax checker incorporated.

5.) Continue on your path of learning and start using a server side language and keep learning and reading.
