  1. First of all, a lot of money...

Now after that, you will need:

-a complete ECU retune: a chip, or better yet a standalone ECU

-intake and exhaust for the increased airflow through the engine.  Ideally, a bigger throttle body too.

-better valves, valve springs, and lifters

-more aggressive camshafts and adjsutable cam gears

    -turbo downpipe

    -manifold

    -intercooler and tubing

That's at the minimum.  You should also get new pistons and connecting rods and ideally, a new crankshaft, too, and send the heads out to be ported and polished, if you want everything to work well and last a long time.

You could go to a shop and have them do a custom build, or buy a kit by a company like Greddy or HKS and have it installed.

  2. There's no need for a turbo in an S2k. The F20C (AP1) and the F22C (AP2) are both VTEC motors with a decent power output. The power to weight ratio of the AP series is a little off, but it's decent overall. The AP1 is the 1st gen S2k, spanning from 1998 to 2004, whereas the AP2 is the more recent model spanning from 2005 up through today. Honda's VTEC series is more than just a name, it's a variable valve timing system capable of dishing out serious engine response from mid through high RPM ranges. During the exhaust phase the exhaust valves open, at the same time the cams open the intake valve. The expelled exhaust gases create a vacuum and the clean fuel/air mixture is sucked into the cylinder for the next cycle. This valve overlap give a naturally aspirated motor some serious kick, thus you don't even need a turbo. But to me, the only thing that can top the VTEC is Toyota's VVTL-i system.

  3. For a turbo to be installed, you need a turbocharger that fits you engine size like a t3/t04e 50 trim, a intercooler, larger injectors, computer tune. Youls also need a exhaust manifold and downpipe.

  4. i agree with beyond never turbocharge a VTEC is a shame of what you can get out of it only like 7-12 psi of boost supercharge it believe me

  5. greddy makes a complete kit for the S2000. it comes with everything you need.

    from greddy.com

"Leading the way in bolt-on turbo kits for normally-aspirated engines, GReddy turbo kits provide instant horsepower gains with less time and money while still having the potential for upgrading for even more power. Designed with turbochargers at the beginning end of their efficiency range, gives the buyer the option to increase power levels substantially, before having to ever upgrade the kit’s turbo. Unlike most turbo kits on the market today, our turbo kits are specifically designed for optimal response and performance while maintaining drivability, comfort and reliability. Since they are based on completely stock engines, these kits come with all the necessary basics, manifold, turbocharger, downpipe adapter, piping, hardware and heat-shields, in most kits, they even include pre-tuned fuel enrichment. A few of the kits are covered under CARB E.O. numbers, which make them 50-state street legal. If competition use is your goal, there are many GReddy upgrades (intercoolers, blow-off valves, fuel management and boost controllers) to boost the power output even further."

but i would really recommend getting a super charger for your car better performance and less maintenance go with Vortech or Comptech they are both well know and really cohesive kits and which ways you go your going to be looking around 5000-6500 for the setup not including installation.

Exhaust- Greddy, Apexi, HKS, J's Racing, 5 Zigen, RS-R, they have really good ones it just depends on how much exhaust note you want to have (Loud or not) but go with a 2.5" for super charger - 3" for turbo charger system for maximum performance (larger exhaust on a turbo system to help the Turbo spool up faster

    charger kit:  $6000

    installation: 6-12 hrs
