I've got a 2000 Impreza L and I wanted to upgrade the stock exhaust. I was thinking about getting the Greddy Evo 2 but I'm definitely open for suggestions. Anyway, I was wondering what I need to upgrade the exhaust system. I know I need the muffler, but I heard some people suggest I upgrade the gasket and other things for some reason. What should I do?

  1. You will need to replace the cat pipe to mid pipe gasket.  Well you might not but they are cheap and it sucks to find out you need something after you take everything apart so it's good to have on hand.  Also the EVO 2 is a pretty quiet unit and no cat back will give you noticeable power so if it's a little more sound you want I would look for something else.  Look around on RS25.com for video clips of different exhausts.  You tube has some too.

  2. RS25.com is where you want to be. I'm a reglar there and you will find all the knowledge you want. With that I would recommend Borla headers, probobly the replicas are best for your budget. They

will help out a lot alone if you want 'sound.' performance

add a different axle back, high flow cat will help. Check out

the exhuast section on RS25 so you don't loose any power/low

end torque. Different combos affect your car in different ways

  3. just buy the full cat-back

  4. I would just look around online they usually sell cat-back kits that come with everything you need.
