What do i say to people when they ask me for my results?

i just finished my first sem in college and got a GPA of 2.2, which I think is really low. I have a lot of friends in college and I know that they will ask me for my GPA score. I am embarrassed to let them know, because I'm sure that they all fared better than me. What kind of polite yet firm answer should I give should they ask me for my results?

  1. tell them your marks be strong nothing wrong in getting low marks try to IMPROVE to the level when you will be willing to tell people your marks

  2. Good question. You can say, "I didn't do as well as I wish I had... let's just leave it at that."  If they press, you can reply, "To be honest with you, I'm not real comfortable talking about it, but thanks for asking." Or, "Well... I really don't want to talk about that right now." Or you can go the humor route, "I did pretty crummy so let's leave it at that."  Good luck!

  3. Actually, it's none of their business but, if you must answer them, tell them it's within reason. If they persist in knowing your actual score, ask them why it's so important to them. They should take the hint that you don't want to discuss it .

  4. Just tell them the truth.  "Well, it could have been better."   Or, "I could have done better."  No need to tell them the exact score.

I don't believe you would ask them such a question other than, "How did you do last semester?"

And, yes, 2.2 is quite low.  You need to study harder.
