Im a vegetarian an im going for a picnic, what should i take?

  1. There are plenty of things you can take!:

    ~fresh fruit salad

    ~hummus and pita chips or cut up veggies

    ~pasta salad (as long as it doesn't have mayo, you won't have to worry too much about keeping it cool)

    ~nuts/trail mix

    ~veggie sandwiches (loaded w/ your fave veggies - alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, etc.)

  2. cous cous or orzo salad filled with chopped veggies and a nice dressing. good at room temp.

    make grilled portabello mushroom wraps with baby greens, roasted peppers and baslamic vinegar dressing.

    fruit salad with granola for dessert.

    fresh lemonade to drink

I am not a vegetarian but what about veggie roll ups with ranch or honey mustard.  Get tortillas and roll up tomotoes, lettuce, shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers and maybe once you get there add alittle dressing to it.  Also take watermelon, grapes and cantelope cabobs , even add pineapple chunks.

  6. vegetarian picnic?hmm..maybe ya can take:

    -lemonade

    -chocolate chip cookies (it is delicious)

    -banana bread

    -coleslaw

    -french bread with some salad or cheese

    -macaroni salad

    -corn or asparagus with butter or garlic

    -fresh fruits

    Any way...Different types of salads, quiche, couscous, rice, pastas. The make a fruit salad for afters!

    A home made vegetable quiche served with new potatoes and salad followed by strawberries and cream.

    You can buy really cheap picnic hampers with all the accessories. Splash out and buy a blue check table cloth and napkins as well then you will get the feel that your on a real picnic.

    Hope the weather is bright and sunny....don't forget the sun block.

  16. Well,i take Quorn scotch eggs,quorn pork pies (ALL MEAT FREE),then i make sandwiches,from home made sandwich fillers and salads and many many things.

    Linda macartney sausage rolls etc.

    You can get Quorn chicken,turkey,beef etc etc slices for sandwiches.

    Since the new quorn and Linda McCartney ranges have been about,my picnics go down better than my meat eating friends.:)

    Also,if you go to your supermarket they have cookery books on veggie bar-b-q`s and picnic ideas.

    If your in U.K try Asda,Tesco`s or Sainsburys,they all carry a good range of veggie foods and cook books etc.

  17. Vegetarian quiches are great, you can have them hot or cold. Pasta salads, green salads, fresh rolls, sliced peppers and carrots and celery with yummy dips!!

    I'm not even vegetarian and I love all that stuff.

  19. Salad, vegiburgers are awesome, tofu, fruit, rice, watermelon,

    you can have salad with mandarin oranges and fresh greens, and of the above is what i can think of,

  20. Peanut butter sandwiches! Make them with the chunky peanut butter because it is good. Bring some soy milk and some apples too.
