Question:

What do i use for a egg laying box for my bearded a cat litter box or somtin else?

i have a prego bearded dragon lookin like shes laying a boat laod of eggs soon but i dont kno wat to use for a egg laying box but i heard some people use a cat litter box... what should i use?!?

  1. Sand as a substrate is just asking for impaction.

    I hope you're not keeping that lovely Beardie on sand!

    For laying Beardies, I use a large round bowl with a lid, and a hole cut in the side (just as you would for a moisture hide), and fill it with moist spagnum moss.

    After she has laid, carefully mark each egg with a Sharpie, being careful not to move it, or damage it.  Move them, mark side up, to your incubator, and voila~!  Bit of heat/moisture/time and you have baby Beardies.
