  1. In my experience for the most part , BIG BAITS = BIG BASS.

I would go with a 10 inch Berkley Power worm . Rig it Texas style with a 3/16th ounce bullet weight and a 5/0 wide gap worm hook. This is a good place to start and you may also may want to try a BIG spinner bait with a 6 inch worm trailer. Be sure to use a trailer hook. If you be patient and keep after it,  you WILL be successful.

    Good luck.

  2. artificial i would go with worms (sinkos in peticular), spinners, crank baits, different jigs, and some panfish baits.

live i would go with minnows, worms, frogs, grasshoppers, beemoths, and cut up blue gill, i have even had good luck with tadpoles.

really it all just depends on the area.

  3. Sinkos

  4. i would use a lite weight rod and reel, don't use a sinker or a bobber just a bass hook and use live minnows and leave your button pushed in on your reel and let the bait work itself it will swim around out there on it's own and it will drive the bass crazy. good fishing and good luck!!

  5. there is generally NO specific bait, for catching BIG bass. If there was such a bait, most fishermen & women, would already be using said bait.

personally, in my lifetime, i have caught more than 15 bass, that each, weighed over 10# but caught them on various baits ( live & artificial )
