What do indie people want for their birthdays?

I need to get a birthday present for my friend whom I would generally describe as one of those indie environmentalist types. What do you think I could get her for under $25, seeing as we aren't that tight of buds?

Buy her books on something like saving the planet but more advanced. but maybe she's not so nerdy. lol

Just get her regular stuff. Earrings that would match her look & accessories. Those always compliment styles. I think that's what she might like?
